In IDS JMK, you can transport luggage, small live animals, sports equipment, bikes, and scooters. Find out how to travel and the applicable fare below.

Small hand luggage is transported for free, which includes small items with maximum dimensions of a box: 20x30x50 cm or the shape of a board, with dimensions not exceeding 100x80x5 cm, or cylindrical luggage with a length not exceeding 150 cm and a diameter of 10 cm, which passengers can carry with them or place under the seat. The following items are also transported for free:

For a discounted one-time luggage ticket or a discounted Ticket A, companion luggage is transported in IDS JMK - items larger than hand luggage, with dimensions not exceeding for a box 50×60×80 cm, for a board 100×150×5 cm, and for a cylinder diameter 20 cm and length 300 cm. The weight of companion luggage, excluding the wheelchair for disabled passengers, must not exceed 50 kg. Items larger or heavier than this are not transported.

Bicycles and e-bikes are transported in IDS JMK on train lines and in regional buses on routes and connections marked in the timetables with a bike symbol. Boarding and disembarking with a bike are only allowed at stops marked in the timetables with a bike symbol. Bicycles, but not e-bikes, are also transported in vehicles of the Brno City Transport Company.

Scooter transport is allowed on IDS JMK vehicles. A scooter up to 120 cm is transported for free, while a scooter over 120 cm is transported with luggage tickets (discounted A). Holders of prepaid tickets for zones 100 + 101 can transport all scooters in these zones for free. Transport is only allowed if there is sufficient capacity on the vehicle!

Transport of electric scooters is prohibited on vehicles of the Brno City Transport Company in zones 100 + 101.

Transport is free if the holder of a ZTP or ZTP/P card travels with it. Attention! Compensatory aids in the form of electric wheelchairs that cannot rotate around their axis are not transported! Boarding and disembarking from the vehicle with a wheelchair for the disabled is only allowed with the driver's knowledge. Place the wheelchair in the vehicle in the designated area, facing backward, and don't forget to brake the wheelchair!

Boarding and disembarking from the vehicle and train with a wheelchair for the disabled is through doors marked with a symbol for strollers or a wheelchair for the disabled. Vehicles with barrier-free modification are at the front of the train and have doors marked for entry with a wheelchair, indicated by the international accessibility symbol (a person sitting in a wheelchair for the disabled). Except for extending or tilting the platform, the driver or Authorized Person is not obliged to assist the passenger with a wheelchair for the disabled in boarding or disembarking from the vehicle. The passenger signals the driver in the vehicle with a wheelchair for the disabled, a bicycle, or oversized luggage by pressing the signaling button twice (..).

Passengers in IDS JMK vehicles and trains are allowed to transport animals only in a secure, completely enclosed, and non-permeable box. The transport of the box is governed by the same conditions as the transport of accompanying luggage or hand luggage. If the box has the shape of a cube with dimensions of 20 x 30 x 50 cm, it is transported for free. If it is larger, the passenger pays a discounted (half) fare. Holders of non-transferable prepaid tickets for zones 100 and 101 can transport dogs in trams, trolleybuses, and buses in these zones completely free of charge.

Small animals are allowed to be transported only in a closed box with a solid bottom that meets the dimensions for luggage or accompanying luggage. In such cases, animals in the box are transported for free. If a dog is placed in such a box, it is also transported for free.

Dogs can be transported with a discounted one-time dog / luggage ticket or with a discounted A ticket. For longer trips and day trips, it is often worth buying a discounted ticket for 24 hours for 125 CZK (with a charged POSEIDON for 115 CZK).

In addition, dogs can be transported separately on the condition that they are equipped with a secure and fitted muzzle and are kept on a short leash throughout their stay in the vehicle. The dog must not be transported on a seat. A guide or assistance dog does not need to be equipped with a muzzle.
