Bus service disruption on Kaštanová Street

Due to construction work on the motorway bridge, Kaštanová Street will be closed to all traffic from 4.00 am on Saturday 12 September 2026 until 11.15 pm on Sunday 13 September 2026 at the grade-separated junction with the D1 motorway.
Bus route 40 will operate on a two-way diversion via the D2 motorway, Chrlice and Holásky on the Ráječek – Popelova section.
• On the diversion route, it will serve the stops Zámecká, Šromova, Chrlické náměstí, V rejích, Holásky, V aleji and Prodloužená.
• The Ráječek stop will be served in both directions at the stop normally served in the direction of Tuřany; the stop in the direction of the city centre will not be served.
• The Popelova stop will be served in both directions at its relocated position on Popelova Street.
• PLEASE NOTE: On the Popelova – Tuřany section, at the loop / Tovární, the service will run in both directions at times that differ significantly from the regular timetable. Please pay attention to the temporary timetable.
Bus route 48 will operate on a two-way diversion via the D2 motorway and Chrlice on the Hněvkovského – Holásky section.
• It will therefore not serve the stops Ráječek, Popelova, Prodloužená and V aleji.
• On the diversion route, it will serve the stops Zámecká, Šromova, Chrlické náměstí and V rejích.
• It will serve the Holásky stop in both directions on Požární Street.
Bus route 64 will operate on a two-way diversion via the D2 motorway on the section between Ráječek and Chrlické náměstí.
• It will therefore not serve the stops at Popelova, Prodloužená, V aleji, Holásky and V rejích.
• On the diversion route, it will serve the stops at Zámecká and Šromova.
• The Ráječek stop will be served in both directions at the stop normally served in the direction of Chrlice; the stop in the direction of the city centre will not be served.
Bus route 74 will operate on the Hněvkovského – Hanácká section via a two-way diversion via the D2 motorway, Chrlice and Holásky.
• It will therefore not serve the Ráječek, Popelova, Ivanovické náměstí and Glocova stops in either direction, nor the Revoluční stop when travelling from the city centre.
• On the diversion route, it will serve the Zámecká, Šromova, Chrlické náměstí, V rejích, Holásky, Rolencova and Holásecká stops.
The N95 night bus service will operate on a two-way diversion between Ráječek and Popelova, identical to that of route 40.
• On the diversion route, it will serve the stops Zámecká, Šromova, Chrlické náměstí, V rejích, Holásky, V aleji and Prodloužená.
• Services on route N95 that normally run along Rolencova Street will travel via Ivanovické náměstí; the Holásecká and Rolencova stops will not be served at night (with the exception of the additional service from Tuřany, looping at 4.58 am).
• The Ráječek stop will be served in both directions at the stop normally served in the direction of Tuřany; the stop in the direction of the city centre will not be served.
• The Popelova stop will be served in both directions at a temporary location on Popelova Street.
• PLEASE NOTE: On the Popelova – Chrlice, terminus / Tovární section, the service will run in both directions at significantly different times compared to the regular timetable. Please pay attention to the temporary timetable.
Regional bus route 109 will run from ÚAN Zvonařka directly to the Hanácká stop.
• It will therefore not serve the Konopná, Komárov, Ráječek and Ivanovické náměstí stops in either direction.
• The Hanácká stop, when travelling from Brno, will be served jointly with route 40 on Hanácká Street.
To travel towards the city centre from the ‘Prodloužená’, ‘V aleji’, ‘Holásky’ and ‘V rejích’ stops on routes 40, 48, 74 and N95, passengers must use the stops normally used for journeys towards Chrlice (the diverted routes travel along this section in the opposite direction to the regular route 64).
