Diversion Kounicova street in Brno

Due to the complete reconstruction of the road and tram line, Nerudova Street and part of Kounicovy Street between the intersections with Zahradníková and Šumavská Streets will be completely closed from 05:00 on Sunday, May 18, 2025 until the completion of the work (assumed by the end of August 2025).

NOTE: On Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 6:00 a.m. until the completion of the work (assumed between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.), due to the installation of a surface switch and modification of the overhead line in the area of the Tábor × Kounicova intersection, the operation of line x12 will be conducted in a modified form:
• Line x12 will be served by buses on the Technologický park – Jana Babáka route.
• The Technologický park stop will be served for both alighting and boarding in the forward lanes.
• The Jana Babáka stop (established at the intersection of Tábor × Jana Babáka streets) will be served both for exit and entry.
• The Klusáčkova stop will not be served during the above-mentioned period.

Tram line 10 will only run in the section Stránská skála / Novolíšeňská – Malinovského náměstí and then diverted along Lidická Street and Palackého třída via the Medlánky depot to the Technologický park stop.
• On the diverted route, it will serve all regular stops of lines 1 and 6, plus the stops Vozovna Medlánky (in Hudcově Street before entering the depot area) and Technologický park (established in the tram loop).
• In the section Česká – Komín, loop / Bystrc, Rakovecká, it will be possible to use lines 3 and 12 as a replacement.
• In the peripheral parts of the day, it will run from Stránská skála only to Hlavní nádraží and then in a circular route via náměstí Svobody, Česká and Malinovského náměstí back to Stránská skála.
Tram line 12 will run only in the section Komárov – Konečného náměstí and then by diversion via Minská and Horová streets to the Bystrc, Rakovecká stop.
• In the section Česká – Vozovna Komín – Bystrc, Rakovecká, it will serve as a replacement for line 3 (limited in connection with the closure measures in Zábrdoviceká street).
• In the section Rybkova – Tábor, a Sono Centrum stop will be temporarily established at the intersection of Veveří × Tábor streets (also served by line 3).
• Selected connections will terminate in the Komín loop during peripheral times of the day.
• For the connection between the city center and the Technology Park, it will be possible to use line 10 instead.
In the Technology Park – Klusáčkova section, an extraordinary tram line x12 will be introduced.
• The Klusáčkova stop for line x12 will be established at the intersection of Kounicova and Šumavská streets.
• On the route of line x12, a Jana Babáka stop will also be temporarily established on Jana Babáka street before the intersection with Tábor street to enable transfers to bus and trolleybus lines.
Trolleybus lines 34 and 36 will operate in the Sušilova – Spojovací section with a two-way diversion via Zahradníková, Botanická and Tábor streets.
• They will thus skip the Klusáčkova stop.
• On the diversion route, it will serve the stops Zahradníkova, Botanická and Šelepova normally served by line 32, and additionally the stops Nerudova (temporarily established in Kounicová Street before the intersection with Nerudová Street) and Jana Babáka (temporarily established in Tábor Street at the intersection with Kounicová Street)
• The Nerudova stop will also be served by line 32.
Bus line x4 will skip the Klusáčkova stop in both directions.
• It will serve the temporarily established Jana Babák stop of lines 34 and 36 instead.
Night bus lines N93 and N99 will travel in the Konečné náměstí - Klusáčkova section with a two-way diversion via Veveří and Šumavská streets.
• They will thus skip the Nerudova stop.
• On the diversion route, they will serve the Rybkova stop.
Changes to stops:
Nerudova (in Nerudova Street) – without service, the temporarily established Nerudova stop for lines 32, 34 and 36 in Kounicová Street can be used as a substitute
Klusáčkova – without service for lines 12, 34, 36 and x4, served by night lines N93 and N99, for line x12 established at the intersection of Kounicova × Šumavská streets
Jana Babáka – for lines x4, x12, 34 and 36 established at the intersection of Tábor × Jana Babáka streets
Sono Centrum – for lines 3 and 12 established at the intersection of Veveří × Šumavská streets
